Men's Breakfast Set-Up Team

Qualifications:
No experience necessary.  Set up and clean up for our once-a-month Men's Breakfast.

Note from the Director:
"We meet on the 4th Saturday of every month, also at Jack's the 3rd Saturday of every month, at 7 am."

RELATE

1. GAP Prayer Team

Qualifications:
Must regularly attend SCF and be committed to SCF's values.  Have a heart to pray for others. Prayer team members consistently pray for submitted Prayer Requests. 

Note from the Director:
"Commit to confidentiality.  Pray when you receive a request and with your prayer partner once a week."

Commitment:
Time: Determined by personal prayer time
Prep: At home
Frequency: Weekly as needed and once a month as a group

2. Hospital Visitation Ministry

Qualifications:
No experience necessary, training on hospital etiquette and procedures provided. Provide caring and compassionate support and prayers to patients, families, and staff at our local hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and nursing homes.  Must have a desire to listen and willingness to pray with people who are ill or dying, and their families.  Hours of visitation vary, depending on the patient and volunteer's schedule.  There may be times when volunteers go to visit in pairs. 

Commitment:
Time: 30-45 minutes per average visit

3. Prayer Request Writer

Qualifications:
Must have basic computer skills and be able to use home computer to email with attachments. Must regularly attend SCF and be committed to SCF's values.  Pick up requests on Sunday after the 11 am service. Type prayer requests up at home and email them to the leader of the prayer team by Sunday afternoon. 

Commitment:
Time: Sundays, 1-4 pm
Prep: 0
Frequency: Weekly or once per month

4. Ushers

Qualifications:
Must be 16 or older, mature, friendly with good communication skills. Must be helpful and able to deal with confrontation.  Welcoming and encouraging to others.  Duties include handing out bulletins, following directions, dealing with service disruptions, and assisting staff and congregation. 

Commitment:
Time: 1-hour orientation, occasional training workshops, ongoing training, Sundays 8:30-10:30 am or 10:15 am -12:15 pm
Prep: Must have clean shirt and communication with coordinator
Frequency: Twice a month

SERVE

1. The Agora Cafe 

 a. Barista

Qualifications:
Prepare specialty coffees and beverages to order and serve all other beverages. No experience necessary, training provided. 

Note from the Director:
"It's a fun way to learn to make a 'good' cup of coffee!  Stop by the Cafe on Sunday or Wednesday."

b. Cafe Volunteer

Qualifications:
Prepare food for customer orders, including cooking and assembling. 
Organize orders for pickup at window, and be able to clean up as you go.     
No experience necessary, training provided.

Qualifications:

d. Donut Table Volunteer

Qualifications:
Must have a friendly, welcoming attitude, as well as an eye for arranging donuts.  
Greet SCF guests and keep table clean and the coffee pots full.

2. Generation, the Youth at SCF

 a. High School Discussion Leader

Qualifications:
Looking for adults to interact with high school students and facilitate table discussions. Must have desire to help students grow and develop a relationship with Christ. Must attend the 9 am service.

"You don't have to be cool to volunteer.  It helps, but all you really need to do is think the students are cool. "

Qualifications:
No experience necessary, training provided.  Must have a friendly, outgoing personality and be informed and excited about SCF.  Must attend either the 9 am or 11 am service.

"You are the first line of defense; the first impression for first time guests at SCF.  Don't screw it up, hehe."

b. Chair Stuffer

Qualifications:

Stock welcome and prayer cards and offering envelopes in the seat backs of the auditorium chairs.  No experience necessary, training provided.

c. Honey-Do Express

Qualifications:

Experience doing small home repairs.  You will work with the elderly, single women, widows, and the disabled. No experience necessary, training provided.

Time: 4th Saturday of each month, 9 am - noon

5. Wild Kingdom

 a. Kids J.A.M.

Qualifications:
Looking for people who love leading worship, singing along with a CD, and teaching children.  Some songs include simple dance moves or sign language.  No experience necessary, training provided.

"You don't have to be an American Idol singer or professional dancer, we will teach you everything!"

Commitment:
Time: Sundays, 8:30 - 10:30 am or 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Prep: Last Sunday of each month, 12:30 - 2:30 pm

Qualifications:
Looking for adults to connect relationally with kids, in order to help them learn to apply the truths from their lessons.  Must be able to discuss real life experiences and encourage the kids to participate in activities that help them make the connection.

"Our small group time is designed to help kids understand how the Bible lessons apply to their daily lives."

Commitment:

6. Worship & Creative Arts

Various Positions

Qualifications:
Looking for people who want to serve SCF in the area of Creative Arts--this includes music, tech, drama, and other artistic expression. Volunteers range from beginners to professional grade. 

Note from the Director:
"SCF believes in using every talent we have to serve God in creative ways, for His glory.  If you love God and are passionate about a lifestyle of worship, this is the place for you! "

Commitment:
Time: Sundays, 3-5 hours depending on service/day
Prep: 2 hour rehearsal, typically on Thursdays
